Casting into the stream mouth also produced a few Sauger and the odd Walleye. Semi-hotspot was on the right-hand side of the rock but any retrieve away from the rock could hook a fish. On the RIGHT side of the lake when casting towards the low outcrop of rock I caught a mixture Walleye (26 including 4 trophies - biggest 5.427 caught just before 11.0pm) and Sauger (30 but not trophies) all on the narrow 2/0 luminous spoon. Trophies were found all over the area but a hotspot was found when casting towards the cleft in the rock. Anchored around 90/100 feet from the rock as I noticed some bites occurred virtually under the rod tip. Used stop and go technique and caught a lot of Sauger including 11 trophies up to 3.838lbs but no Unique. Caught mainly Sauger when using the narrow (purple spoon 1/0 and the luminous pink 2/0 spoon) cast towards the rockface on the LEFT side of the lake. I targeted Sauger/Walleye on two separate evenings/nights and noticed a few things. I think the areas accessed by Kayak are really productive. Out of boredom I went back to shore and fished all the usual spots and although the bite rate was better than the 2 new spots, they were much slower bite rate than usual. Apart from that I found that NY during the day seems to be even more nerfed to the ground now. Must one use something completely different there than the rest of the lake ? ( I used the NY favorites narrow spoons, worms, casting spoons, shiners, small minnows ), or must one only go there when the sun is shining ? ( It was raining ) 2 Fish in 3 hours is laughable. So the whole renting and dlc debacle aside, I have to ask, what is the point of adding something useless ? 2 new areas at NY, only reachable by cayak, but no fish there. I fished them for 3 hours, caught 2 fish. Both the 2 new areas on the left is completely dead. So I rent the cayak and paddle to the new areas with much excitement of what lurks there. I was also curious to go check out the 2 new areas off to the left. Last night I was at New York and decided to try the cayak as NY's is the only one not crazy expensive.
